Did someone say Spooky season?

Embrace your halloween spirit with the Studio Beag handmade Spooky Season collection! Featuring a range of handpainted pumpkins, friendly ghosts, and playful designs, these spooky pieces are perfect for adding a dash of whimsy to your day. Each piece is carefully crafted in my small studio in Waterford. Inspired by roaming October pumpkin patches, sunflowers and orange sunsets, these pieces bring a touch of autumnal magic to every moment and you’ll be using them all year round!

about studio beag

“It all started with a bag of clay at my kitchen table”

Beag: pronounced "Be-Ug", is the Irish word for small. I use this word to describe my studio as it’s accurate! When I started making ceramics all I had was a utility room in my apartment that was just big enough for me, my wheel and my wedging table. I am self taught, with no formal background in ceramics or art and my 9-5pm job (I still work full-time)is actually in the sports and charity sector.

I quickly fell in love with clay, devoting all my free time to making pieces, many featuring the grumpy faces which would become a staple of my work. Seeing a piece go from a lump of a clay to a very tangible piece of functional art will always be my favourite part of this art form.

Recently, I have been able to build my very own, small studio that I am so proud of. All Studio Beag ceramics are handcrafted which includes their design, firing and packaging, by me (Nicole!).

I love creating fun, unique ceramic pieces to add a little something special to daily life.
